I design and build reliable software systems, from architecture to production, with a focus on real business value, strong engineering, and customer satisfaction.
I am a staff-level backend engineer and solution architect with 20 years of experience designing distributed systems, trading platforms and security-critical infrastructure. I work hands-on across Rust, C#, event-driven systems, automated testing, code review and performance optimisation. I use AI to accelerate the work: AI-assisted requirements refinement, specification-driven development, and closed-loop testing harnesses for end-to-end validation.
I am a technology leader with 20 years of experience designing and building distributed systems across financial services, trading, blockchain and large-scale data platforms.
I began my career in financial technology, working across organisations including Lloyds, Deutsche Bank, Barclays, Marshall Wace and Dealogic, where I contributed to trading, market data, regulatory reporting and high-volume financial systems through software development, test automation, performance engineering and system validation.
I later moved deeper into blockchain and digital assets, co-founding technology businesses where I personally designed and built products spanning blockchain infrastructure, secure transaction signing, DeFi, portfolio valuation and pricing, with a successful exit: the acquisition of Venato by Lukka.
More recently, I have led the architecture and hands-on development of high-volume distributed platforms where security, resilience, fault tolerance and predictable performance are fundamental requirements.
Across my career, I have combined strategic technical leadership with the ability to work directly at implementation level, taking complex systems from early design through production and scale.
